How would you like to test your golfing endurance and help a worthy cause at the same time? We're looking for golfers to play 100 holes in 9 hours and the sponsors willing to support them. Are you up to the challenge?

Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County (HFH-SC) needs your help. On April 30,2010, we are enlisting 40 golfers to play 100 holes or more from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in our First Annual Habitat for Humanity Golf-A-Thon. We need to raise more than $100,000 in the process to support Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County. This will be our only tournament in 2010!

Participating golfers will help us by raising pay per-hole pledges prior to the event. Each golfer's goal is to raise at least $25 per hole (keep in mind that the golfers with the largest donor base have the best chance of raising the most money!!). Prizes will be provided to the golfers who raise the most funds, play the most holes, and score the lowest (and highest).

Not interested in playing? You can still help in several ways. You can help sponsor the event in general, sponsor your favorite golfer with a per-hole pledge, or provide prizes for the winners. Whatever you can give will make the dream of affordable housing that much closer for a Sonoma County family in need.

All golfers will receive a wonderful 'goodie bag'. Food and water will also be provided throughout the 9-hour stretch. Afterwards, an awards dinner will be held with plenty of food and prizes. Donations will go directly to HFH-SC's continuing build program, encompassing 11 build sites currently under development. A few minutes of effort per week combined with a full day of golf can make all the difference in the lives of families in need.
